Long time no write! Sorry....So much water under the bridge in the past weeks....

Within days should have down loadable guitar instruction direct from my website cover page in conjunction with HOMESPUN!

Mid West tour was good, enjoyed the Fall foliage thru October and early November. Had a flu or something and lost my voice for a while....which was more than a little disconcerting, but it finally came to pass. Apologies to those in Rochester who showed up for my gig....I for some reason had it in my head that it was a Saturday show, and it was a Friday....my first real senior moment?? I am so embarrassed...first show I missed in 42 years!

Hit some cooler weather crossing NY, but no hard freezes. Did a drop in at NERFA, The North East Folk Music convention and had a fun time with all the folkies and some acoustic bluesers too.

Next was a casual gig at RPI, where I did a little show and talk for students in the "ENVIROMENTAL dorm lounge. The kids were very enthusiastic and interested in hearing about my times and travels.

Cafe Lena was again a great time in Saratoga . This I believe was my 40th appearance at Lena's! I was delighted to see a few of the students from the night before in the audience. We had a packed house and a large time. My friend Lena Spencer is long gone, but I always feel that she is in the cafe when I am on the stage.

Nancy flew into Providence for the Thanksgiving holiday and we enjoyed visiting family and eating turkey as usual. The weather held up, and was so much better then last year, when I was camped out with 20 degree temperatures for over a week!

We had another great show at the Turning Point, where I have been performing for over 30 years, beginning a run of 4 shows in a row! Godfrey Daniels was fun, Berlin Md. was good and the fourth was in Rockville Md, at The Institute of Traditional Music, a venue I had not played for over ten years.

We are now camped out at Preston and Jennifer Poe's house in Salisbury Md. for a few days. Preston is starting to edit my movie, THE BOOK, which he has been filming for years...and it just might be released in 2010!

So, we start South tomorrow taking the Cesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel into Norfolk, Virginia and points South. When I was in the Navy, there was talk of building this 9th wonder of the world, but we didn't believe it would ever happen!

Nancy is traveling with me and we are enjoying our time together and look forward to our Winter in sunny St. Pete.

Happy Holidays to all and thanks for loving the blues....Bye Now, The Book & Mrs. Book
