Greetings From Sunny Florida

Home for a few days to visit The Wife...all well here. The road has been good to me this year and I thank you all for showing up at the gigs....

After the Storytelling Festival, I headed North. Performed at a 'private party' in Bagdad Kentucky....lots of fun, did the show in a tent, ate some great fried Crappie, and met lots of fine pickers and grinners. Private party gigs are fun and I hope to book more of them in 2007....

Spent a week in Cleveland, hanging out with friends. On the Wednesday we went to Fat Fish Blue, where Robert Lockwood Jr. performs with his 6 piece jazz band regularly. A great time, Mike Tyson was having dinner at a back table, I guess I missed a chance to become really famous by not telling him my favorite 'fight' was when Buster Douglas took the title from him years ago, whipping his butt! Oh. well...

Had a nice visit with Mr.Lockwood on the Friday before my gig at Night Town. We shared stories and laughs about life on the road for hours and he later showed up at my gig. Had a nice crowd and a great evening. Couldn't have asked for more. Saturday I drove out to Kent Ohio and that too was a satisfying show. Played my Gibson Nick Lucas at both shows, finally gave the Kay Kraft a rest.

Flew home on Sunday and here I am. Back to the frozen Mid West tomorrow, and not looking forward to the trials of early Winter. 'camping Out', is a little tougher when Summer ends for sure.

Have quite a few shows coming up in the Mid West and North East. Especially looking forward to my gig with old pal Paul Geremia in Shirley Mass. We also have a few shows booked in Bradenton, FL. for March 2-3. It's always inspirational to work with Paul who I first met 39 years ago.

So my friends, I will sign off for now. Stay warm and I'll see you soon....

Bye For Now
