Happy Holidays!

Been home for a few weeks now and it's nice. Been pretty warm down here in St.Pete 'till tonight, but we'll survive. Spent my first two nights "home", camped out on The Skyway Bridge Fishing pier! My parking place at our cottage was filled up with construction stuff. Nancy met me on the pier...Nice to wake up to the sounds of pelicans and seagulls, even saw a few dolphin out in the bay!

Back at the 'cottage', all is well, got 'the bus' parked on my new paved pad next to the house. Contractor re-doing our bathroom so it is convenient to have the bus handy. Hopefully renovation will be complete by Christmas Eve.

Nancy turned off the cable TV a few months ago and we sure are getting a lot more stuff done around the house! With no TV to speak of, I find myself playing the guitar more then ever and am quite pleased to confirm that the more you play, the better you get! I've already come up with some cool new 'licks and tricks' that I have never heard before! I remember when I first got serious about guitar playing in the 1960's, I didn't have a TV. Better to have music running through your brain then Law & Order re-runs for sure!

Nancy has five more days at school before her Christmas break. What a great reward for our teachers, two weeks vacation in the middle of the Winter! "I love this country". We will be spending the time visiting friends and family and just relaxing in sunny Florida.

I have booked a few dates for 2008, but really won't get to involved in that until after the holidays. Not sure if we will make it to the West Coast or not, I just have to see how the cards fall. My tours usually have a mind of their own and take me where they want to, so I am always excited to see how it plays out.

I Still have my eyes and ears open searching for a replacement for 'the bus'. It's been a good vehicle and home on the road for six years and 152,000 miles, but I think it will be time to start over pretty soon.

Happy Holidays to all, until later....
