It's 2005!

Here we go again! How can it be the year 2005?? With the hollidays behind us, I am settling into the Florida life and it is pretty nice...seen some real bad weather everywhere on the tv...Lord have mercy...

Warmer then usual weather down here, 80 degrees this week! Go into the studio in a few days to begin editing the Live From the FUR PEACE RANCH cd. Looks like we we will have 7 tunes that I have never recorded before and 7 tunes revisited from my early recording years. There will be some pretty funny stories as well. We are looking to have a Spring release on this project, on PegLEG Records.

This month we have some cool shows happening in the Tampa Bay area including our pal, the great Norwegian Bluesman Vidar Busk. A recent Norwegian Grammy winner, Vidar will be at Skippers Smokehouse this Friday and puts on a show that should not be missed! Hot Tuna will be at Skippers on the 16th and Bobby Bland will be at Janus Landing on the 21st. Bobby was always my favorite singer back when I was "comming up". I always loved his band with Wayne Bennett on guitar and trumpets always are so very hip in a blues band!

Just confirmed my appearance at the SUWANNEE SPRINGFEST for March 26-27. I love that festival and really enjoy the 'hands on, bring your guitar...workshop' that we do Saturday and sunday mornings.

I have been asked many times to give private guitar lessons while I am home for the Winter and never have done so...This season, I have decided to take on a few students one day a week. The lessons will be 75 minutes long and will cost $100. Two students at the same lesson would be $150. If this interests you, send an e-mail and we will work out the details.

Well, thats all for today. Be well, stay warm and I'll write again soon.

By Now....Roy
