The Bus is Packed

Hard to believe, but 'the bus' is actually packed and I begin the tour Monday. Where did the Winter go?

It's really starting to be hot down here in Florida, high eighties every day. No rain for weeks, but that will come as it does every Summer. Just hope the Hurricane scene calms down this year. Nancy has about 20 teaching days left, she really enjoyed her 'little rascals' this year but she is ready for Summer Vacation.

Just had a long talk with my old friend Robert Lockwood. Amazing to hear him tell stories about learning guitar from Robert Johnson back in the 1930's. He just turned 91 and is still in good shape and performing regularly. This Summer he will be flying to Helsinki, Finland for a festival! If you are ever in Cleveland on a Wednesday night, make sure you catch Robert and his 'large band' at Fat Fish Blue, a cajun restaurant.

I'm feeling good and am ready to hit the road. Things kick off with Merlefest and then a session at The Fur Peace Ranch with my buddy Patrick Sweany, Pete Huttlinger and Jorma. You never know who you will meet or what you will hear at the Ranch. A few of the students have really amazed me with their song writing skills and I can't stop listening to Larry Drakes cd that he made on his computer!

Hope you all made it ok thru the Winter, we had a pretty good time down here.

Bye Now
